Moose in region 6-8

Hay everyone! Thinking of checking out region 6-8 for moose in October. Never been up around the Smithers area. Any tips as to where to go? Any restrictions to know about any other areas in region 6 that might have a better chance at getting the big one.

If you want the "Big One" you need to go further north. If you want a "meat bull" then 6-08 will do you fine. Be prepared as GOS is a bit of a gong show.

[Cordillera]

6-8 is relatively roadbed and well travelled. It is also pretty productive. If you want success you need to get away from the crowds by either boat or hiking or..... There are some big moose But most are 2 to 4 year bulls so not huge. The open season can be a good hunt depending on the weather and year. Some years it is really good with many bulls coming to the call. Those years you can't get space at the butcher Other years it is dead.
