Creatures of habit. Find their routines and watch the game trails.

If you happen to be hunting in an area that they migrate, build yourself a blind out of fallen trees etc near one of their trails. Sit and wait

drive around in your truck anywhere in the east kootenays and pick the one you want and shoot.

If you want a really fun hunt, find tracks on the road, park the truck and hike through the timber. Let the wind dictate your direction of travel. Have the scope knocked down to 4X and be ready. They are fast, spook easily, and are extremely smart. I was once told by my ol man.... "just when you think you are going slow, go slower". Good Luck

My strategy for this year is quite simple - I attached a microscopic gps locator device to Doubled's truck. I'm going to follow him to his parking spot then walk slow, but faster than him, and quietly get to the big cranker buck before he does. Gut pile hunting is for rookies - my plan is fool proof. Shhh... Don't tell anybody - especially Doubled.

Haha Coach. I found that GPS when I got home that night and put it on FD's truck. Good luck my friend.
