My significant other is in NY with the girls October 5th to 10th and I thought my pointer and I would spend some quality time with the birds. She is just over a year now and I am really keen to get her on some wild birds. I was thinking about going to Saskatchewan but it's not in the cards this year, so what I need help with is where is the best grouse hunting in BC? I hunt blue grouse and ruffies on Vancouver Island but they are few and far between.

just north of the nelson river there is a road that I took my pointer to when I lived up in Fort Nelson that we would limit out on every time we went out. Now it is a ways a way but you were asking about the best in BC.

Where ever there is not much " road" hunting , but still plenty of roads and gravel you will find plenty of grouse....

The Hi-way 3 coredor between Princeton and Ossoyos has many good off shoot roads get off the sideroads and walk a ways this area holds grouse, quail and ringneck in the diffrent regions in good numbers if you get out and look.

I second that, as well in the middle of that run you can get into some real nice Blue Hunting, once you gain a bit of elavation.
