Hey i live in kamloops and want to plan a weekend trip in the okanagan somewhere for a weekend white tail hunt , any area suggestions would b great i dont need or want your honey hole just an area that holds a good number if white tails thanks in advance pm me if u need more info great site

You don't have to drive to the Okanaghan to find whitetails their in several areas right around Kamloops!

Ive heard that but ive yet to see one! Where would you suggest focusing my time on in order to b sucessfull!

Populations "generally" increase the further east you go.

Get off the road and up out there before first light and almost everywhere has them in the ok stay lower in elevation.

Anywhere up Hwy 33, Summerland, Hatheume Lake area, Postill, OK Mtn Park, Naramata, Belgo, Aberdeen, etc.

find farmers fields...find whitetails! saw a big one once just north of kamloops few years back in the summer

OK MOUNTIAN PARK just be prepared to hunt in ugly terrain

I have seen a fair number of whitetail in the last couple years due about half hour due east of Kamloops, not going to be more specific than that but you really dont need to go that far to find them. Most i have seen are fairly low no need to go mountain climbing.

sure have.
there are pockets of them everywhere.
i'm always expecting mulies, and am usually surprised when it's whitetails i spot.
that's why it's always best to have both tags.

Yep, saw one of the biggest whitey bucks in my life during youth season and almost had to hog tie the youngster we were with as it was way too long of a shot.

x 3 or 4 now for cherryville,out as far as the turn off to go down the christian valley from the north, remember to stay low and walk slow
