Sept 1 Mule Deer Youth Season

My brother and I are planning to take our kids (10 & 13) for the early mule deer youth season this year. At this point looking at Clinton or Princeton. We have hunted these areas a couple of times before but never that early in the season. Any opinions or details (or alternatives) would be appreciated, PM if you like.

we hunted clinton last sept and we didnt see anything, but it was very very hot all day long,
