Prophet River to Ft Nelson Nelson

I am considering a solo canoe trip from the Prophet River Wayside Provincial Part up to the Muskwa and into the Nelson, and up past the Snake and along to where the river crosses under the Alaska Highway in mid August. Any local info on water level and difficulty would be appreciated. I have done the Nelson section about 12 years ago ... thanks

if there are any hydrometric stations on those rivers you should be able to find them on this site link and check water flows.

We used to canoe the Prophet every year. Had a friend go solo in another canoe with us one year. He was experienced but got into a strong eddy and was tipped by a sweeper. He managed to hang onto the sweeper until we were able to get back for a rescue. We then spent several days doing makeshift repairs to his canoe so we could complete the trip. A good trip but would not recommend doing it solo.
