Kitimat & Hartley Bay

Hey guys,

Headed to Kitimat this wednesday for a week to do some fishing with my grandfather and his boat. They were up a couple weeks ago to try the river but it was blown out, and out on the ocean last week but their trip was cut short on the 2nd day due to an incident.

Hoping to break the bad streak lol, anyways does anyone/locals have any tips for me (gotta out fish my grandpa :D) or reports of how this fishing has been out there recently!?

Also I imagine we will do some rockfish fishing as we have 6 days. Something I've never done. Anyone with experience mind sharing a good set up?

Kyle, fishtrap will be good for chinooks, and the cohos should be showing up down near Campaignia! Turtle point is usually a money hole for us as well. Try trolling right outside the marina just check that there isn't a no fishing zone there! Call me we will take my boat next year! Moosin
