If you can get permission there are areas around Mayerthorpe/Entwhistle/Drayton valley in Alberta that have escaped wild boar which can be hunted all year. I think the real trick will be getting the access.

Don't know of any places within BC that offer hog hunts......they'd have to be ranched of course, there's no wild ones here.

I don't recommend driving to Alberta in hopes of finding the escaped hogs as odds are you won't see any. Most are shot by chance or locals as there numbers are not high

drive to Seattle and fly out from there , its actually cheaper than Alberta in the end .............and something different , Fort Worth area is awesome , I'd go back in a heartbeat

I was thinking Texas would probably be my best bet... Wish my mom still lived there as it would have made it even cheaper. . Oh well... Will plan that trip for 2014..

Airline tickets are the least of it............"out-of-state-license", tags, hotel/motel or guide/outfitter......then - can you bring your prize home (assuming you get one) or is the processing prohibitive?

For most of us it's a once-in-a-lifetime proposition - do you want to "waste" it on pigs?!?

all that you have to do is get in contact with one of the pig outfitters down there and you are set. its not that expensive as pigs are feral. you can shoot as many as you can/want. all the meat goes to the food bank. the flight would be the most expensive part.
