Schnee Sheep Hunter vs Lowa Hunter Extreme

Are there any differences between the Schnees sheep hunter gtx and Lowa hunter extreme gtx? I know the Schnees are made by Lowa. Also where is the cheapest place to buy? Does bakers still sell them? Heard the quality has been suspect too any reports or reviews of recent Lowa products

The real difference:

Schnees has a 3 stitch line versus 2 stitch line and the logo.

I havn't had a problem with the Lowa Hunter Extreme and have worn them the last 5 sheep hunts. They were good value for the dollar payed. Ordered them from Bakers.

I have the Lowa Hunter Extreme, happy with the boot so far used for a couple sheep hunts and local elk hunting. Also got them from Bakers.

have you looked at the schnees granite boot dirty ..419$ on the sschnees website ..look like a pretty good boot . ive had the lowa sheep hunters for a few yrs now ..good boots !

Bakers, phoned, don put them near fire to dry out.

I have read reviews about the insulation in the granites breaking down and allowing rubbing on the rivets for the lace eyelets. Too expensive for me to guinea pig them. The lowa are back up on the baker website.

I have the lowa hunter extreme, best boot I have ever had on my foot. I live in the heart of the east koots I've had them for two years n couldn't tell how many miles!!!! More than the average I'm sure, I will prob get this year outta them n will be time to get a new pair, I have never had a boot last so long!! Definitely impressed with these not sure I would go to a different boot

What width of boots are you guys running for the Lowa Hunter Extremes? I remember reading somewhere that they fit narrow? I tried on a set of Lowa Tibets tonight in standard width and they felt ok.

I have the tibets in wide. And i have never had a wide foot in any ither boot or shoe, but for hiking boots the regulars are to narrow.

Do you have any more info on this? Might delay purchasing my next pair of boots depending on the time frame.

I heard several stores will be getting boots in August. Not 100% sure which ones.
