Was coming home from the Huntfest show and saw elk about half way up the hope-Princeton below Maning park. Are they Rockies moving west or Rossies heading east? We had a good trip with losts og game sighted everything but Caribou and grizzly's.

On the hope side or Princeton side of the park?

What side of Manning Park. Rockies aren't uncommon between the Park and Princeton.

Just go on Google Earth and follow the Hope-Princeton and you can see them. ;-)

The hope side about 5 km past the Chocaholla turn off way before the big slide

I guess that would not be too far for them to travel, back end of the Tulameen, through the Cascades Rec Area which would put them in Sumallo Grove and head downhill from there.

Not far as the crow flies from the East slope of Manning, but there's some serious terrain in between. Rocky Mtn. Elk from the East or Rosie's from Washington? Good question.

We were up Sowaqua(sp) creek in bear season and I am sure there were fresh elk tracks on the road about halfway or so up. Looking at the maps later, It didn't seem to be too far across to highway 3 by Manning park. I would be quite sure that they are Rocky Mountain elk and not Rosies in this area.
