Bear skull stripped 4 weeks in back yard

Like the title says I didn't have time to do anything but skin it
4 weeks ago. Checked today and almost all flesh etc
inside and out gone or dried to thin webs here and there.
I'll clean it up and bleach it later, lazy man's low investment
euro mount. It was sitting on the ground in longish grass.
Yes, the dog keeps larger scavengers away.

I believe it.mother natures little critters do great work.If you can find a red ants nest in the back forty,it works much quicker!

Your dog stayed out of it? Lucky! I did that a few years ago at my parent's place brcause they have a much bigger backyard and wouldn't have to smell it. I put it under a pile of old brambles to keep larger critters out, but my dad's spaniel managed to pull it out when it was at the kind of soupy, extra rotten smelling stage. Needless to say, the dog rolled around in that s**t and came prancing back into the house proud as can be. I owe dad huge for that one.
