I thought I've seen it all on HBC, I guess I was wrong. Not one but 2 albino moose? Where did you see those guys?

So glad you shared the pics, thanks.

The pictures that never stop......ask yourself if that country really looks like Terrace?

Just so you know these are among a few rare WHITE (not albino) moose that live in and around the Foleyet, Ontario. It is up in the Chapleau/Timmins area of Northern Ontario.

Swear i saw a white elk around white swan lake in the kootenays 2 weekends ago. Just a quick glimpse before it ducked into the bush. It hung out in the timber for a minute before it got out of sight. Unfortunately camera wasn't ready

I wouldn't doubt it. I've seen a few around over the years. From full albino to that half patchy look on a couple of cow elk, a few different deer and I've got pics of a cow moose from 4 years ago she's not fully white but close. I'll have to find and post them.

Please do if you find them. I have to admit, I have never personally seen white ungulates of any kind in the wild yet. Maybe some day. They are interesting indeed.

Them's 'Spirit Moose' very sacred to the vacumpac tribe. Very special, extra tender.

Check the link out below for a short video clip of the white moose that was hanging around just north of Fort St. John 5 or 6 years ago.

One of the pics I have is one on the thread the other two are in a different location but did say they were around Kamloops,I had them on Photobucket but could not seem to upload them.I do believe it must be some sort of gene these moose have, much like the white bears on the bc coast in the so called great bear rainforest.Maybe there is a biologist or someone that can share a bit more light on these animals.
