So for fathers day me and my dad hit up some promising new hunting ground. As soon as we hit the dirt road this big doe spooked out from some shurbs and let me snap some pics.

Just after spliting up with my dad i came across this fallen tree which almost made me turn back and get some help to move it.

Instead i decied to prop it up on a branch and go under :)

As soon as i broke the second cut block i found this doe feeding her fawn saddly i couldn't manage to get a picture of the fawn! but ill tell you when i first saw it pop up and follow the mom i thought it was a rabbit!! haha

After i found the quad i pulled onto the road to call it a day. About half way down the moutain to my surprise in almost the same spot i stoped to take the first 2 videos i came across a spike fork moose! So i cut the engine to take some pics and then suddenly he started walking towards me!

Geez, Phipott Road! I remember hunting that way back in the late 60s. They were just starting to log that area back then and there were no moose. Just lots of mule deer. Never went up that road without a saw though. For some reason we always encountered windfalls, going in or coming out.
I think that moose is inflicted with some sort of wart virus. Really not that uncommon although most times you don't see that many lumps. Don't believe the meat would be affected and they are usually attached by a thin string like attachment. I got one once that had a couple like those and when the moose was skinned, they just came off with the hide.
