1Black/2Grizz For My Sons

Recently on a spring hunt with my 2 sons. My one son killed this cinnamon phase black bear at 21 yds with his bow. Right after the shot the bear ran towards him. The bear was not being aggressive , just dead on its feet. Anyway he passed by him about 4 ft away. I watched this unfold through my scope at 500yds. Needless to say I thought the bear was going to get him.
That same evening he was also successful on this grizzly. He killed it at about 40yds with his rifle. This bear has extremely long claws.
A week later we were back in same area trying for my other sons grizzly. We were climbing a slide when a boar chasing a sow came running down the slide. He bluff charged us at 50yds then ran off. I thought he was gone for good. Two nights later we spotted him again and after a stalk my son killed him at 100yds. Them two Grizzlies are fantastic looking bears your dad is a good teacher for you and your brother over the years in order to make this dream hunt reality ,the Cinnamon bear is very nice bear as well ,congrats to the whole hunting party father and sons getting these bears..

Ok..............Lets slow down here for a minute. I would obviously never , ever view this bowhunt through my riflescope, especially with my son at the other end! I refer to my spotting scope as a scope all the time. Anyway it was indeed a "spotting scope" in my OP . Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the safety conscious comments.

CONGRATULATIONS - those are hunts that most only dream of. Did you have to buy yourself some new boxer shorts after watching the blackie rush your son??? I can only imagine what that must have been like. Glad everything worked out in the end and everybody was safe.
