the story
we wear hunting all day and by this time i didt think we wear gonna see anything we wear making our way back out of Freda lake i guess around 7 pm ish and came around the corner to see this bear in the slash got out rested the 300 win mag on the truck went to squeeze the trigger forgot the safety was on so the bear started to walk away i ran up the road 20 or 25 yards looked for something to use as a rifle rest nothing so i chanced a free hand shot clean miss ran back to the truck for bullets as i only had one on me went back and the bear just standing there like wtf so again looking for a rest nothing by this time the bears walking further away so i gave it one last shot free hand and all the sudden the bear turns and starts coming my way i kinds panic to get more bullets in the gun thinking it was wounded well 15 yards from the road its beds down and goes to sleep.cut my tag and now in the freezer waiting to be made into pepperoni and sausage.it was maybe 45 to 50 yards on the shots.
