Its from King's World so I assume its from the Calendars that they do. They take a picture of an actual rack (usually killed years ago) and photo shop it onto a live buck to the best of their ability. Gives hunters an idea what that particular buck would have looked like alive.

A deer with those antlers couldn't live in a tight forest, no way they could get between the trees, lol.

The antlers look alot closer to the viewer than the deer itself.

The antlers and deer are real. They just don't belong to each other. That is a Kings Recreation. The buck is known as Bigfoot. One of the largest typical frames ever recorded. The buck was shot by Dennis Wintch in CO IIRC.

Did you know that deer antler width has been related to the country they are found in?
Wider open country means wider open antlers. Say from close forested trees the antlers are narrower.
Jel .. Believe it or not? ..

Hence my term bush buck.

One area I use to hunt was thick ass timber. Some of the deer looked like they almost had a globe of antlers on their head. Deer in places like Cache Creek have nice wide desert typeantlers. So yeah I believe you.

Still doesn't change my mind on weather the deer in the picture was altered in photoshop

All the Kings calenders an photos are all real life antlers taken over the years. They are the most impressive trophies taken. They then photo-shop them onto other live deer photos. Very impressive antlers but the you need to take the photos for what they are.

The "Bigfoot Buck"

This buck scores 262 5/8" as a non-typical and 199 6/8" as a typical with a 40" wide frame. What sets this buck apart is that it nets as both a typical and a non-typical. The typical frame on this buck is over 230"; 4 more points than the current world record typical.

The antlers width exceeds the length of the bucks body which means/equals BS picture. No doubt the antlers are from a documented buck as Dana noted...BUT ...the scale has been enhanced and shopped to create the oversized effect.
Come on people....

You can see a "joint" line right above the eyes. Photoshoped and not even well.

King's were doing their "Recreations" as far back as the mid 90's. I'm pretty sure I had the calender with this "Bigfoot" picture in it sometime in the late 90's. This was state of the art photoshop back then. :)
