Well, wentout seeking a first buck needing to find a 4 point or better, we were driving to our spot early thinking no one was infront of us, but sure enough a vehicle beat us to our spot so we decided to go walk into a back block where we thought we'd have a chance at a nice buck, on our walk in we spokked something off the block but never seen it. We headed back down to see if the block we were originally planned to hunt was empty but wasn't. So we headed to a block where I had seen a nice 3 point and a big 5x4 the previous season. We got out and walked way to the back of the block and then it getts steep for about 30 ft uphill, we climbed up the hill and down in the draw we just see antlers walking to our right. I was looking withouth my scope and thought it was just a 2 point, but my dad had the binocs and declared the buck was a 4 on the right side and to shoot, I had no rest and was breathing hard from the steep climb, I shot, miss, the buck turns and bounds toward the timber and my dad just told me to lead him and shoot so I lead him and BANG! He piled up right where he landed, we figured the shot was 200 yards and we walked up, gun on him the whole way, and looked and the shot had broken his neck so I give him one more and he was done!

He was 4 on the right side and 2 on the left side, 21 1/2 inches wide, pretty good buck for my first! He sure was stinky and heavy, al by himself to no does or bucks with him but he had seen fresh tracks on both the top and bottom of the steep hill. We also paced off the distance between bounds and from the part where he jumped to the part where he landed was about 20 feet!
Will have pictures soon!
