This was my pups first season and she retrieved 17 birds for me 2 of them were runners after i hit them, she is a natural

Who would have thought a useless house dog would be good at catching cripples :D She retrieves too but she tries to eat them on the way hahaha.

This nice big ruffed grouse charged me while hiking last summer. Not in season, otherwise it would have been over the campfire that night.

I love all these grouse pictures....I sure look forward to my grouse hunts this fall.

KB90 ....I love the picture of the blue grouse with his beautiful colors.......what a beautiful picture.

(Now.... if I can only train my sheltie to retrieve....)

Wow! nice shoot'in , that was a good day, a few over the bag , but what the H , like the trout to, LOL good going , looks like lots of grouse this year, can't wait to get out. cheers nice pic

Here some photos of grouse that I took up at CV. I was hoping to get some pictures of spruce and blue. Never did. The only spruce grouse I saw ran out in front of the motorhome as we went down the gravel road. Flew away before I could get pictures of it.
