So today was going to be my last day to get out this spring. I was driving in to a spot i have seen bears before and was only about 10 kms up the gravel road, I was actually talking to myself saying i sure hope i see a bear soon. All of a sudden to my left there is a bear so i stop the truck and he stares at me. I don't move for about 5 minutes just staring at him making sure no cubs pop out and after deciding it was a shooter i took the shot. Bang! bullet hits..........about 3 feet from where i was aiming! He spins around and takes off so i chambered a second and fired....he kept running. Made it about 100 yds into the last place i wanted him...a swamp! Needless to say it was a solid drag to get him!

bear measured 5'8" skinned nose to tip of tail weighed in at 150 with zero fat on him at all

ya i like the color furs a bit sparse in a few spots so im contimplating doing anything with it....any ideas? u can see the sparse spots on the right side in the pic
