Apex Alpine- any hunting around?

I have the opportunity to use a place in the apex alpine area, is there anywhere you can hunt by there or is it strictly ski hills etc. I don't mean I'll be hunting off the ski lifts:lol: but what the hell, free accomodations just need to know if its worth while.

Dont know - Im pretty sure the ski hill is opening in the next month or so, so I would imagine theres a bit of snow up there!

Check out Darke Lake/Mountain Park, its kind of close to there, and ive been told theres some mulies around there

Thanks aquasher! Something to check out, need to go do some good hiking to wear off some of that halloween candy! Theres about 10" of snow now but if theres somewhere close by to try out.WTF:lol:
