Just recieved my hunting permits for deer in Montana and New Mexico, that means I get to hunt from Aug. (Dall sheep in 6:28) untill the end of Nov .Life does not get much better than this

Good on you for drawing some tags. But I dont have to even leave the province and I hunt from August 1 to dec 10.:):)

Ithink some elk draws go into Feb.

You can hunt in BC until Dec 10 but hunting in the desert with 20C temp. is sure a lot better :-D

Congrats on New Mexico deer. I think I got skunked in the Western 9 this year. Too bad as I really wanted a NV or UT deer tag.
Look forward to hearing about it. New Mexico, from my long haul trucking days would be a sportsmen's dream. Some of that state would be like hunting on a John Wayne western set.

what region is your NM deer tag in?

it's in unit 26,in the (boot heel) of NM. close to the border with Mexico

I am going to hunt in California this winter. I have read the ATF site and see that an import permit is required. Just wondering what anyones experience has been crossing the line good or bad.
