looking for a good area where someone has a good chance of hitting on some, any info would be great somewhere about up too 4-5 hours from the mainland.

Lots of talk about Rock creek here on the board, but we used to see them all the time at the top end of the Tulameen road near the Kane valley, but with all the Pine beetle control I'm not sure they'd have moved or not!!

Ya heard lots aout the creek, just worried that it may be a convoy going there next week, having spent most of my time up north hunting not to familar with areas around here, not looking for a tropy just some tasty steaks in the freezer.

Apparently there are a herd of them by Herrling Island, not sure if they're open though?

There is no open season for the whitetails at herrling island pg 35 in the regs.

Rock creek eh! Last trip there was apprx 5 years ago, remember hiking up a deer trail to wait for them to come up from the fields, and soon as I could see abroad, the hunters came in, it was flies on sh@@!:lol: Nice area, but heavily hunted then:mad:
Time to go to Herrling, got my slingshot and floss:lol:

Try Boundary creek in Greenwood..Its only a half hour past Rock Creek

Thanxs I may give there a try, interested in doing more hunting in the south , after taking my moose out of up north and the northern bug out of my system i am ot ready to pack things up yet. :lol:

Don't bother with the East Kootenay area, there are no whitetails there.:cry:
