Howdy, just had a visit with an old friend who just drove down from the Yukon. Between Bob Quinn and Meziadin he saw 40 plus bears yesterday. All black with a couple brown phase. No Grizzly.

that is a crazy amount of bears. one year from meziaden jct to tatogga lake we counted 33 bears including cubs, 1 griz. Interestingly we noticed that several of the bears near meziaden jct were very very small with cubs. They were so small, most would think that the mother bear was actually a cub. Has anyone else thought the same in this area?

The most bears I've seen on a hunt was from Kitwanga to Tatogga, easy bow hunt for sure. A little to easy for me..
The area is filthy with blk bears, eating grass on the side of the hwy. 40 bears sounds realistic to me..

One year between Kitwanga and Dease lake we seen 33-34 something like that. Always lots of bears on the side of the road, that is for sure. 257Stew

No he doesn't - he has a helicopter company. LOL
