A co worker is wanting to take his dad salmon fishing this year. He is open for suggestions. His dad isnt doing to well so needs some ease of a trip?

Any suggestions. He figures full out 5k a head but would love to see that price drop

I would PM Iron Noggin. He seems to be the MAN on the west coast. I've heard nothing but good about him - through multiple sources.

5 grand a head?,should go somewhere tropical and catch something he's never caught before, that is if he's healthy enough to travel...

I've heard if you want a trip consisting of not only fishing, do this trip. And can be done for less than 5k.

That's a tad over the top IMHO.
Shoot me a PM, can provide some advice...

This is the outfit I'll be with this season: http://castawaycharter.com/

Always a LOT of FUN!

If they go to an "All inclusive resort" style Duncanby lodge type thing then yes 5k is about right. OOORRRR you could got to Ukee and Visit Iron knoggin or the plethera of good guys like West Coast fish, long beach Charters for a couple days and stay at Black Rock. And still come back with lots of extra money!
There is plenty of places to stay in Ukee that are nice and Cheap. http://thecabins.ca/ this is a real nice place. Then you can fish with Matt for 2-3 days and you are good. Ucluelet is WAY under estimated, Kirk my buddy did a 51 last season, plenty in the 30-40 range.

My brother worked a summer out here, I got a free week when someone cancelled (had to work while I was there but was worth it :D) and had a lot of fun. It's a floating lodge. It's the only salmon lodge I've ever been to so I have nothing to compare it too, so I imagine the island guys have better input.

Here's a 42 someone caught the season I was there.

The OutPost @ Winter Harbour. Request JD as your guide. You'll have a great trip and leave with more than enough fish. Mid-July. Salmon,Halies, Ling, Snapper....Bring a big cooler to take the catch home, you'll need it.

Here is a couple out of Hardy.

Both great outfits and they catch a lot of fish, plus you will see some awesome country.

http://www.serengetifishingcharters.com/ The father and son team of David and David have sweet boats and catch a lot of fish. Plus they have a house in Hardy and supply the all inclusive deal.

http://www.bearcovecottages.ca/fishing_charters.htm Wade is a great guy, great guide and has nice cabins over looking Hardy Bay.

If you want to go out of Ukie and area, go with either Matt (Noggin) or look up Ian Macdonald (he is on here as Prowler) at http://www.bamfieldsportfishing.com/

Cheers

Chatted a lot with JD on the last troll opening. Don't think he's headed back with that crew Pescado...

Just a Head's Up is all...
