I will be up in dawson for the next 3 months for work. Was wondering if there is a range that I will be able to access? How much is a membership?

Stop a Corlanes for a membership. I can't remember what I paid last year but ballpark 50-70$. The club own the land so you can go whenever you want between sunrise and sunset, follow their general rules and the range is sometimes rented. Beside that a nice range, the people are friendly and very accessible compared to other ranges in the area.

We have a 100 yard range and another with target boards and gongs at 100,200,300 and 400 plus pistol and shotgun ranges and an outdoor archery range if sticks and strings are your thing

Is worth today, 10 or 20 years ago its a different story, and thats when the range was most likely established, but thanks for the input. I'd say more but everyone else has covered it nicely

10 or 20 years ago when the range was established land prices for sure were less than now. Having said that even though prices were lower back then the clubs ability to purchase more land back then was a challenge. The Dawson club has done a great job providing its present range facilities.

I was never bashing the club and/or the facility, just making a point that the negativity was pointless and incorrect. I can't wait to get to dawson and contribute to the club even though I'll only be there for 3 months. I will use it frequently with a big smile. Maybe I'll meet some HBC members there

I wish we had 1000 yards but with being in a river valley 400 is all we have room for. But on the plus side there's lots of crown land around so it's not that hard to get a free 1000 yard range. Or if you know the right people on private land

A four hundred yard range is more than enough for any average shooters abilities and equipment.
Good on you guys for supplying all that for 100 bucks a year.
I'll be happy when this 1000 yard fad passes.
