I was able to get the truck about 200' from where he fell.

Thanks for all the kind words......I didn't measure the bear but it's safe to say he'd been around for a while. The scars on his nose and a broken canine confirms that. I'm 6'1" and 265lbs to give you some sort of indication to his size.

I started at dawn on Hydro Hill. There was the odd chunk of snow in the deepest darkest parts but was 99% gone for the most part. There was some bear sign but not enough for my liking and with not much in the way of fresh growth. I moved on to a lower and sunnier local with the approporiate foilage.

No rug this time...just some ground for Bearaghetti and jalapeno/cheese smokies for fishing lunch.

Congrats on a nice bear,,I work the Smithers/Telkwa area frequently and have seen a few good bears there,,,just never when I'm hunting
