Aggresion, Black versus red/brown, black bears

Is there any truth to red phased black bears being more mean or agressive then a basic black? the reds almost always are the ones that try mauling my dogs or try jumping or popping and huffin when in the tree while solid blacks seem content to sit and and wait it out.

I walked right up to the cinamon I shot a few years ago, talked to him before turning him into a rug, no aggression at all, kinda felt bad killing him as he was quite friendly

After yesterdays bear you might have something? Generally they all act the no different then a black ones. You may have just found one in a bad mood as I did last night, finally got my dogs back this morning.

four days now havnt got mine back yet . let him on a wind strike but turns out its a griz. it run across the US border kinda getin worryed some yank may have put a bullet in him. got posters everywhere tho.

The one's that appear crazy are the easiest ones to deal with. The ones who appear normal, but are realy nuts are the ones who'll getcha!

Sounds western ! Nope haven't run there (4-06) Just whacked a bunch of blacks and one colour phase in reg.7 and was gonna dog a grizz for a bear hunter but he decided not to in the end.
