OK folks ,I think we should all make a concerted effort to help out the moose and deer population and harvest a wolf. I know I will take one if I see any slinking about the woods !
If you start sharing your pictures that may help us all keep an eagle eye open for one of those ravenous critters!

Never seen one. Fished, hunted, mountain biked, mined gold, pretty much outdoors year round in my spare time and have never had a look at one.

Those wolves were all region 7. The pic with the 3 was a pack of 18 that I was able to call in after we spotted them 2km off on an alpine mountain. They came in downwind at about 300 yards. I gave my son first shot and he was able to knock 2 down and I got one. They were in tall willows. If the country was more open we may have been able to knock down more. The pic with the one wolf was the tuchodi. I packed up the mountain and shot an elk at last light. I set up a little tarp tent and spent the night about 400 yards from the kill. Wolves were yippin and howling all night from the direction of my kill. At first light I saw this guy crossing above my tarp about 500yards out. A quick stalk and I knocked him down. I later found that my elk was untouched. I guess my "pee"rimiter worked. Wolves are fine trophys. Fun stuff.

Region 3 puppy. Part of a group of 10 that we caught in the open. Too bad we didn't have something a little more rapid fire and a BIG scope to help my old eyes. These are definitely the reason why we have it on good authority that the moose #'s here are only 50% of normal.

Wow can you imagine what it takes to feed a pack of 18 wolves.
Pee rimiter works great, and your coat or shirt, (whatever you can spare) right on the animal also keeps them away.
Good work!

Female wolf called in last Fall with a bugle. The whole pack of 12+ wolves was approx 1km away, but only she came within shootable range to investigate. We waited for the others to join her, but finally had to pull the pin when she started getting skittish at 100meters.

[QUOTE=Husky7mm;1150791]http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd483/husky7mm/wlf702.jpgI have a 100lb doberman, but a plain Jane wolf puts him to shame. Huge head, huge paws, oversize teeth...they is killing machines. Sort of like a bull trout. Husky7mm's picture shows it well.

Ya mine was a lanky shedding spring time wolf, being well fured will make them look bigger for sure. I saw him standing on an old grass covered FSR and he was so tall at first glance from 290 yrds I thought it was a mule doe. I was very shocked at his over sized head and feet also, mind you they sure leave big tracks....
