first bear down

well guys I dropped my first bear yesterday, a little blackie about 2 years old

after a day of searching we're headed home and about 15 k left of the road out we come across this guy, on the road of course

naturally he ducks into the bush and makes us chase him, but the river was pretty close and as I ran down the road my buddy headed in after him. After about 150 yards down the road I get a sight of him squating, looking for Nick crashing through the bush, so I sneak in about 15 yards off the road and hit him with the Nosler 180 E-Tip at about 3200 fps 8mm Rem Mag. Needless to say, he dropped and never got up again.

Nice bear like the color of his coat, that is a pretty cool caliber and bullet you got there. You have a lot more hair than John Malcovich but might want to trade bank accounts though :)

yeah a little over kill but it's my favorite shooter, I could have used the Marlin 30-30 again,
but you never know how big the next bear you see is gonna be
