Sweet truck too....I hope you get it back with no damage. I have actually caught two different guys inside my truck
over the years. Weird how it went fairly poorly for both of them...

Ah yes, some people get SCS (Sudden Clumsiness Syndrome). A friend of mine helped some Shitrats catch that in Chilliwack a while back :D
Hope you get it back in great shape, and get 10 mins alone with the D-Bag that stole it.

Need to start gathering info on value of the truck, in case it is a total loss. Have not heard anything yet, and I really don't want to have to replace it ..............but

So if anyone has any links to ads, or is aware of listing for a 2003 era 7.3l diesel, Lariet, in vgood to excellent shape with low mileage please pass it

Make sure you are aware they are able to give you up to $5000 for add ons etc on your truck without having extra insurance.
I printed out 3-4 off buyselltrade.ca and brought them in (pick the high ones) to the adjustor and we went on that, they were fair when I had the proof sitting on the desk. They were very unfair when I asked them on the phone what they figured it was worth before the appt. Bring your receipts too for any recent work it all helps.
The fact it is the last year of the 7.3 it should help keep the value up over the 6.0L (gag) models.

Sorry to hear about your truck, but how many times does everyone need to read about an F350 being stolen before someone puts an alarm in it? While not all systems are fail safe at least the ones "in the drive way" will be safer.

Let's face it, we're not all as brilliant as you! That's a shit kicker Phoneguy, those are sought after trucks and hard to replace, good luck. K

Heck ICBC was giving away 2 point immobilizers for those truck to help stop paying out claims 2 years ago. They are the #1 truck stolen in north America for the last 10 years.....

Its hardly a brilliant idea by me......................

Unfortunatly they dont come with factory immobilizers or alarms till about 2010. They di have a keyless fob that most people mistake for an alarm.

I wasnt trying to sound like a jerk to you, just making a point about the lack of security the trucks have.

Hope you find your rig..........................

I have a club too, it was on the back seat! Doh!
The ICBC people looked at the papers and they told me it had the alarm and immobilizer so .... . Lets just say, if I get it back that is definitely something that will be explored.

Truck was taken from my driveway, the master bedroom is directly above it. They must have gotten in, rolled it down the hill and started it away from the house, otherwise I would have heard the diesel. Other than a footprint in the garden no traces were left, no glass, nothing!

Its amazing just how fast many vehicles can be stolen these days.

Mazda cars if you kick the door hard enough the factory alarm will turn off and the doors will unlock.

Vw if you shove a screw driver in the key cyclinder and turn, it will shut off factory alarm and unlock all the doors.

Many others are very much the same................

Good luck getting it back. I am sure everybody is aware there is a website you can check for stolen plates, if you run across a possible stolen. it is....

Just got a call from Burnaby RCMP. Truck has been found about 6 blocks from our house! Cannot see any signs of damage from the outside, even the ignition looks intact! She said there is a lot of tools in the back seat. I had a few behind and under the seat, probably not mine.

Quite relieved.
Won't get it back for a little while yet while it goes through the process, but I am hoping I won't have to give up on our camping trip over the long weekend

Stolen vehicles are pretty much torched everywhere they are left. The reason is that the fire obliterates fingerprints and DNA evidence.
You are quite lucky to get it back.

Just got back from viewing the truck at ICBC. Punched passenger door lock, and ignition. Went through the interior, took the garage remote (already disabled) bluetooth ear thingy,
But the biggest pain in the ass is that they took the canopy!

Mileage appears that they maybe drove 50Km, no body damage so I am (relatively) lucky.

I guess they just wanted the canopy. Keep watching for it.
