I have been thinking of buying myself a nice inflatable boat, like a Zodiac, in the 10 - 12 foot range. I will use the boat for fishing lakes both big and small. Any thoughts as to these types of boats. Any recommendations on these boats.

Polaris. Made in Langley. I have a 14' with a 75hp jet. Fantastic company to deal with.

Costco.ca is selling the low end Zodiacs (Typhoon, Wave) pretty cheap. They have a few models from 10 to 12 feet. Link (http://www.costco.ca/Common/Search.aspx?whse=BCCA&topnav=&search=zodiac&N=0&Ntt=zodiac&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-CA)

I have a 14' Aquamarine I'm not using, but that's probably too big for what you're looking for.

I have had no complaints about my mercury inflatable. http://www.mercurymarine.com/inflatable-boats/ I found that these come with a lot of features that are extras on other makes.

Whatever you do choose I would strongly suggest hypalon fabric. It will last much longer and is far more durable than other materials.

I have a 12'6" Zebec. They are a very heavy duty boat meant to withstand hard use. Mine has seen hundreds of kms on the rivers up north and it has been great. A friend has had one for 6 years floating the rivers and other than a few small holes in the bottom, he hasn't had any issues. They are pricey but well worth it in my opinion. If you are using yours strictly for lakes, I dont know if you need the extra cost that comes with the double walls and reinforced bumpers.

I use it mostly for fishing, floating rivers that arent suited for motors. The specs say it can handle a 35 horse though.

Just went with a 340 Mercury Airdeck in Hypalon and a 20hp Mercury outboard. Mercury has their inflatable repair center in Langley area, 10 year warranty on fabric (sourced from Achilles), and 5 year warranty on motor. The motor had a bulletin on it, brought it in to the Boat Centre, work done no issues. Welcome to send a PM if want more info. Motor from Rod's Power & Marine in Tofino and boat from the Boat Centre in Horseshoe Bay - both were excellent.

Check inside dimensions when comparing different lengths / makes, sometimes a foot increase in overall yields little in inside length (or width).

Got ya thought you were talking about a sport motor raft.
