Saw one a couple years ago right in the crater on Crater Mtn. Reported it and hoped that a season might be coming. Good news for sure.

Looks like a whole bunch of wolves are going to become "good" wolves this year. (the only good wolf is a dead one.)

Oh yeah, there's to be a few less in the Kane Valley this year. Now if only I can find the big white one I had in the sights last fall?

Great news. I've seen several in the Nicklen/Doreen lake area.

I have seen some up there as well. My buddies mother in law has seen some in her yard just up the road from Bluenose Mtn recently.

Sounds good to me. Since we've abandoned the use of poison for population control and rightfully so, it seems that hunting is a much better and humain control of wolf populations without which the balance of nature will be tipped. After reading the article, I'm not sure exactly what they mean by "wolf densities and prey biomass". I agree, the wolf population has increased dramatically in the okanagan recently.

Thanks everyone who reported sightings, wrote letters, and supported the BCWF, GOABC, and BCTA in the push for this season.

Thanks also to Brian Harris for keeping up the submissions to Victoria over and over, until approval was gained.

Looking forward to the first "region 8 wolf hunt" threads on HBC!
