I been researching back packs 'til I see them in my sleep. I never could see the sense to anything other than an exterior frame befor now, but I just kept coming back to eberlestock dragonfly (mostly because of the rifle scabboard)----so I just bit the bullet and ordered one.

I found a guy in Ft St John that advertises them for $369, but by the time he answered my e-mail a week later I already had one from Bartlet's in Grand Prairie for $399---others I found in Alta were $499---pretty big price spread

Anyways I've got it loaded up with 40 lbs for a 3 hr climb tomorrow to see how it feels---I'll let you know

I just picked up a Eberlestock Blue Widow pack.
Essentially the same pack just slightly more streamlined with the option of the scabbard or not.Haven't worked it yet but the fit and finish looks great. If you are looking for any eberlestock accessories contact Omeneca Sports their prices that are very hard to beat.RB

Those packs, the battleship and destroyer look like real good packs. I wonder how they would compare to the MR nice 6500 or 7500?

You will love that pack it the most comfortable pack I have ever worn,
I put quite a few days in last year with mine, never had more than 40 lbs in it,but when I took it off at the end of each day I never felt like had even worn a pack.

I put 3 hrs of STEEP on the new dragonfly with 30lbs on Friday----I'll give it 40Lbs next trip, didn't seem like I even had a pack on, except you need to be careful of the lower end of the scabboard when coming down in goat country. That's not a problem if you keep it in mind.

I didn't realize omenica Sports was dealing eberlestock stuff, or I would have checked them out befor buying---I'll check there for some of the extras

I have a battleship, love it, many miles last year with it attached to my back without knowing it was even there.

The video here for the Mystery Ranch Crew Cab isn't bad. The camera man doesn't believe in showing heads but the pack seems to be impressive. However, like all packs, you have to try them out for yourselves.

Price wise, in general, who is more expensive? Wholesale sports or Italian. I also am in the market for a pack however I don't need one for anything as rigorous as a sheep hunt, just a good daypack should suit me.

He is way over priced on everything...
Its cheeper for me to drive to Edmonton or Calgary in my truck I might add... then to buy from the Sportsman Den in Red Deer
the other store in Red Deer I would rather pay 10x more then to spend a penny in there...
