Heard a rumor that there may be a spike fork opening in 5-2, just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, thank you. Gord.

Doubt it... look at the LEH numbers for all of reigion 5. They're all way down. If LEHs are down, I don't think the population can support a GOS

Seems to me I remember there being talk about a test area for spike fork in 5. I am surprised nobody in the know has piped up. I got the inkling that it was not going to happen because it would make the natives restless.

I recall the test area being discussed also. I know certain people in Region 5 are fighting hard for anything GOS on moose.

Whats the point?
It was hard enough when a buddy and I had leh tags for 502C & Our other two buddies drew 502B. We both filled our tags but seemed the others around us were not seeing hearing or nothing. Everyone else was skunked.
Maybe they just never left their trucks far enough.
I dont see that being a very good choice, if they keep giving out tags to early is that really conservation? One lousy tag a year

I doubt it'll fly, too much winter/wolf kill over the past few winters.
