Everytime I push my Zodiac out into the lake or back again, I get my shoes wet.

Do any of you know of a type of shoe - footwear that dries quickly in the sun?

I need a shoe that dries out quicker than running shoes. A sturdy sole on the shoe as I need a right shoe lift.

Any help or ideas will be appreciated.

Gum boots. Not the greatest in hot weather but in that case you can just use sandals.

Keen Newport H2, Had mine for 5-6 years in and out of the water, salt and fresh. Dry quickly, real sticky soles.

x2! There are also a fair number of companies now that make "water shoes" that are structured with a good sole, support, lacing systems but a light 'mesh' type material that dries pretty darn quickly.

Like everyone says, crocs. Buy the immatation ones from Walmart. I've had mine for 2 years and still going strong. Not bad for $5.

Keens, Merills, all kinds of "water shoes" out there, check out your local sporting goods store.
I use mine for fishing, boating and hiking, all in the same trip. :)

Here's a link to the Keen "water" shoes.....one thing I do have to say I like about them as well is the big "nub" on the toe. More than a few times I have been happy to have something protecting me from stubbing my toes as opposed to wearing a Teva type sandal.

Great think about these is they are comfortable to walk in with plenty of stability etc as well.

Crocs all the way.

Sorry......I can't stand Crocs despite having an understanding as to their "effectiveness" and their price point. I get the convenience around hunting camp etc but I'll take flip flops over them any day. The Keen's noted above aren't a "high fashion" item but they are great for fishing/boating etc.

As I said earlier, Crocs all the way. Cheap, easy on and off, EXTREMELY comfortable, do NOT make your feet stink, VERY durable, long lasting, no straps to muck around with, warm in hunting camp with wool sock........do I need to go on........

They even come in your favorite teams colours......

Nuther one for Keens, way more versitle. Wet wade in them hike in them wear them to town. BUT they arent cheap, if you want a cheap solution go Crock.
But Keens last forever, my wifs is on 5-6 years on hers. And we put them to rugged use hiking up rivers a few months a year
