Chasm Sheep LEH

Noticed this new area in region 3. What do you sheep hunters think about this spot? I have seen a few around mound rd. Thought this might be good, considering its never had a season before. Its a toss up betwen 3-29 and 3-30. What would you try for?

No sense at worrying what unit to put in for, with the South Thompson (KIB) unit no longer available for LEH, the new unit will be over 300:1 odds.

My thoughts exactly ! but if I had to pick one of the two areas that the OP mentioned I would pick the Chasm area as the odds last year for the Kamloops draw was 988-1 :shock:

Like was said, any decent Ram gets whacked outta there pretty quick, I have hundreds of pics of them. Lotsa nice donut rams, though. Anything that breaks the bridge of the nose gets poached pretty quickly. Word goes out, ram disappears.
Go to Clinton and ask who the main suspect is. I will say nothing here.

An 'any ram ' hunt is going to be the best.

@ 100:1 the any ram hunts in Region 8 are probably a better bet. Rather spend the $6 on beer. Hahaha.

Both units can and will produce monster Calis. Both units are once in numerous lifetimes chances at getting drawn. But just like the 649, you can't win if you don't play. Sure, if you want to draw sometime in your lifetime there are tons of other units a guy has a better chance at getting a tag. In the same breath, there is also many GOS opportunities out there as well.

As for the South Thompson unit, I too would like to see that reinstated, especially now the Special Sheep draw is back. No reason why the KIB can't continue selling their one tag and helping residents with the other.
