Anybody use one of these or have any issues with them. Will be mounting it on a short barreled 30-30 and using it in the brush on the island so it will get wet!! I know its a made in japan scope but am looking for something reasonable ie. 200 -275 dollars. Dont need a lot of magnification and eyes are to old for open sights. Thanks for any input.

I love this scope, it's well made, light and if all you need is fix 4 power it's the best.
Got one on my Marlin 336 and will be isnstalling another on my Mannlicher once I find the mounts.
I know some of you will be saying, oh a swarowski or Zeiss, Leupold is better, yeah for 3-4 times the price.
Comes with good guarantee and should be able to buy one under $200.

I have had a 4X38 in the past and wish I would have kept it it was a good scope. I would own another one again except in my case I would opt for the 6X38. Eye relief would be shorter than a Leupold but the Weaver would still have plenty for a 30-30.

Not really framilliar with that model. But I do rock 2 40/44's 3-9x40 and a 3.5-13x44. Iforget what they retail for but I love em.

Zeiss and Leupy all it up (great scopes). But personally I think weaver is a little under rated.

I have one of the older ones that has been on a few rifles. It has been flawless. Backpack hunts and all.

I have a k-38 sitting on my shelf right now - and thats where it will stay until I need to nail a fence board up or hang a picture frame, impact point was different about every 4th shot, I got so frustrated shooting a .243 with it before I figured out it was the scope. I am holding on to it to take out my personal frustration at some point, gonna make it die a violent death!
