Resort or Cabin Rental Options

Good Evening,

Looks like my wife would like to accompany hunting this fall for a moose hunt. Unfortunetly the wall tent for a week to 10 days isnt going to cut it this time round. We are looking for cabin rentals within a 12-14 hr drive from the lowermainland. We can definetly do with a rustic cabin without running water but will want it to be clean. It would be even better if it were on a lake or at least have nice surroundings. We dont want to stay in a dump in a dark hollow:mrgreen: Any pointers in the right direction would be great.

Check out Chaunigan Lake Lodge's website. More geared towards fishing but the scenery is unbelievable. It's been a number of years since I've been up that way, and while i have friends that still go there fairly regularly they don't hunt, only fish....so I can't speak to the Moose hunting.
It's amazing country though, and the place is really nice.

Jewel Lake, outside of Greenwood. Hunter friendly. They have hunter cabins as well as slightly more "deluxe" cabins.

fishpot lake resort west of quesnel. stayed there for work once but the cabin beside us had a moose hanging. The french canadian guy working there said he'll help people hang there game and what not. small cabins with a wood burning stove. they sell supplies their too.
