Coming back from work in alta looking forward to salmon fishing around Nanaimo Gabriola anyone having any luck?

Things will start to pick up over there in about 4-5 weeks; we had some great days at Thrasher last year through the second half of May through til about mid-June.

I've read a few reports of guys fishing the strait over off Galiano and it's sounded fairly quiet for the feeder springs thus far.

We hit 4 feeders, landed 3 and kept 2 of them off Pender Bluffs on Friday. Only fished 2 hours so not a bad day.

it was calm water, sunshine, great company and some nice fish, and to top if off some nice crabs on the way back in....gotta love the Island

Hey BSA......heard a good report from today in the Nanaimo area with a good day on legal sized springs. Hoochies were the ticket down pretty deep at 160-180.
