Was a really bright day up there today - even the dog needed shades!

Still almost 3 feet of ice.

Got a few fatties for dinner...

I talked to some punters in the valley bottom yesterday at the boat launch - no bites. So, I headed up the hill to some solid water! :D

Dude......with your affinity to quad/truck hunting and the miracles that technological advances have offered us, I am shocked  that you don't have a power auger. That is unless you have a fishing partner that does the work while you wait to fish?

Yup thats lots of ice. my augers are 39" long if i can remember correctly- been all over bc over the years and havent had to use an extension. I clear all the snow away to the ice..
You have more then a foot of ice rite now then a local lake in PG i was recently at- surprising for the sunny okanagan ;)...
-now get back out and try to hunt down Walter!

I travel lite. Power augers = noise = oil & gas contamination that can repel fish. Sneak in, drill fast and quietly, STFU, and haul 'em up!

Auger extensions - used 'em lots back in the day when we fished St Margaret's Lake in the Greystokes.
