For the guys who noticed. The teams got changed around this morning. It started out at 5 teams of nine but as soon as I posted the team threads more people wanted into the contest. So I put the new guys into team 6 and then added one guy randomly selected by the guys I work with from each of the other teams. Team #6 is still down one person so they will get anyone still to sign up.

Sorry for any confusion.
Nick.

Hello gang, - welcome to the winning team!

Here's some possible team names to toss out here:
Tominators or Turkinators
Turkey Tacklers
Turkey Jerkies
Gobbler Getters

I'll be hunting the East Kootenays. I've done a bit of scouting this winter, and can provide locations for a few flocks I found in the Cranbrook area (Ft Steele/Wardner/Fairmont H Springs) to #4 team members who plan on hunting this area. No promises that they're still hanging out there, but it would be a start! Send me a pm with your phone # or email address if you're interested.
I'm going to have a look at the Columbia River valley from Trail to the US border while doing some fishing later this week, and may be there for the April 15th opener if I find many birds. If anyone cares to share some suggestions for that area, I'm all ears!

Let's see some more suggestions for a team name, and get this fun train rolling!

tominators sounds good to me,

I will be in Castlegar 19th to 21st, so any tips for the area would be great, and I am willing to share the little knowledge I have for the area as well

Hey Guys,

Had some plans with another fellow turkey hunter and as it goes work got in the way for both of us for the opener. And unfortunately it doesn't look like we will get another chance to go together.

I do however have the 25-1st off and was wondering if maybe someone would like to get together for a hunt? I am new to turkey hunting but look forward to trying it out. I'm in Dawson Creek, but plan on being in Quesnel on the 25th and will drive down south to hunt.

If anyone is interested shoot me a pm!

Cheers Kyle.

a jake, i never weighed it, but it wasn't 15 lbs, 4 inch beard maybe 1/4 inch spurs.

now i can't wait until elk season.

yeah, my bad! this is kind of shady, but i weighed the half frozen breast fillet's and the carcass together about 24hrs after i got it......sorry about that.

14.25 + 1.875 + 2.5 + 8 = 26.625

if it's not accepted, that's cool.

good luck every one!!

At least I did get to chat with one though! Unfortunately, a horse kept butting into the conversation. I`d cluck, the tom would cluck, and the horsee would neigh. It seemed like the tom didn`t want to stray too far from his buddy.

We got snowed in on Monday. As expected the turkeys kept a very low profile and we didn't hear any gobblers, let alone seeing them despite driving many miles, stopping frequently to call and search different spots. I'll go out again for two to three days in the last week of turkey hunting season. That's all the time I can make for turkey hunting this year.

Hey, Joe, nice tom! You'd better keep your hat on or someone will think it's a turkey fan. I'd hate to have to check that for ticks. bcbrez and Good Old Outdoors had about 20 on them yesterday.

Well my right arm is a real mess again. After weeks of being able to move the arm halfway decent with little or at times without pain I am back to square one. As of three days ago I am not able to move my arm or even the fingers. Will have to see what the doc can do. If the condition improves I plan on going out again during the last week of the spring season. Problem is I've to write four articles with only one hand and they have to be out by June 1st, depending how fast and well I can write with only one hand I may be forced to cancel my spring hunting plans all together.

Sorry to let the team down, but after hunting dusk to dawn for 8 days this season, I'm still turkey-less! Man, does dawn ever come early this time of year!
I hunted the Creston and Kookanusa areas, had a couple of interesting conversations with 2 different toms, but never really came close to slipping off the safety. The woods have been pretty silent for the last 2 days, so I'm packing it in till next season.
