What is there to hunt around Terrace?

I mean, I'm not that interested in hunting bears, There's fewer and fewer moose around and I'm not even seeing that many bunnies, for that matter. Where's the deer? Growing up in the Okanagan there were lots of deer(two kinds) and in the Gulf Islands the places were all infested with little blacktail deer, But Deer seem to be as scarce as hens teeth here. What gives? Also I've heard tell of Elk that used to be in the region, but I've never seen a thing here.

Any of you guys up here in the skenna/nass region, what do you hunt, and how well do you do?

I stick to goat and grizzly hunting locally and that chews up a couple weeks per year. If you want to hunt deer just head east a little ways or to the Charlottes. Head north a little ways and you'll be into good moose and sheep hunting!

I'm hearing rumor that they are closing off the moose season north of here.

lots of goats and some moose around here, just got to know where to go and be prepared to get off the roads......as for deer, they're around but not in great numbers.....might have to think outside the box in where you hunt and consider archery/shotgunning for deer....hint

Thinking bowhunting. :-)

Also wondering what might be up at the clearcuts up the sides of the mountains. Bears yes, but what/who are they eating up there? Thoughts of glassing the sides of the clearcuts at the end of the logging roads.

This "hunting" thing has quite the learning curve. . . :-/

Lot of bears, wolves and 'yotes around here. I don't think that they are vegetarian.
