You've done it again "Dana", great, well balanced, and fantastic pictures. It would be hard for some, especially kids and city folk, to believe that little fellow is such a cold blooded killer after looking at your 'cute' photos.

Reminds me of a Marten that was trying to steal porkchops we had burried in some snow. It have eaten a part of one before I tried to chase it away with a broom (we were staying in a cabin). The Marten was very aggressive, and kept coming at me while I pushed at it with the broom. It definitely wanted that porkchop!

At least your chicken was leftovers. A couple of years ago in Blue River I left the window in the work truck open and a marten came in and ate my whole lunch and left a nice set of tracks on all the seats and the windows
