Interesting Mountain Goat sighting

I was driving up from Vancouver two days ago and saw four mountain goats on the East side of the Thompson River. I think it was in 3-13, but could have been 3-18. I did a quick double take because they were in a difficult to see position. I slowed right down around the next bend and I could see one of them quite clearly at ~300 yards or so.

I never knew there were goats in that area. Has anyone else seen them there?

seen some there last fall...by trhe underpass before heading up the long hill..going south they were on the south east ledge...traffic was stopped for construction watched for 5 minutes...

Yes Steven, not far from there was where I saw them too. It was ~5km south of that little river that flows into the Thompson. It was a pleasant surprise.

I spotted a mountain goat about 2 years ago while hiking in the mountains east of the old toll booth on the coquihala hwy. They are around but there are not many of them close to the lmd.

they have been there for many years now.. i have flown by as many as 5 ....
