I have one. Great pack and weighs 2-3/4# stripped, or 3.5#s with all the pockets I added to mine. Carried over 60#s on a two week sheep hunt in rough terrain. Carried just like the old Kifaru LongHunter that is 11 or so years old. Packed out a black bear 8 km in it. Heavy load but no problems. Pack looks good after 3 weeks of back packing and numerous other day hikes and hunts with it on. I like the single large compartment and usually take off the outside extra pockets when I hunt with it on. Works as a good day pack that can carry out your meat. Had it on when I stalked and arrowed a black bear last fall.

One issue might be if you got blood between the two layers of sil nylon type fabric that compose the main compartment. I was careful not too, but it is a risk.
