i wonder how many people shoot an elk like this then take it in to get scored a while later as a wild animal?
I doubt too many because growing bulls like that is big business for the so-called farm. They use the big bulls as their advertising. It's pretty easy for the B&C to do a background check. You get caught lying to the B&C you are banned for life on ever entering anything else.

Irregardless of the controversy - High Fence vs. wild vs farm raised,
THAT IS ONE BIG FRIGGING BULL.....
Not that impressive when u consider all the chemicals and roids that bull was poppin'.

I am totally underwhelmed................. I do feel sorry for the pathetic life this elk has lived.
Fenced, fed steroids, probably kicked in the nuts every other day to promote the non-typical extra points. Then used for target practice by some looser who wants to impress you and me.
Who they kiddin?

I am more impressed to hear of someone taking their first grouse or antlerless dear, than I am by that. No question it is big. Shooting something behind a fence which was farm raised is by no means hunting...

Worst part about it is SCI accepts these articial pets into their books. It shoud go into a farming record book. Not hunting.

To each his own, but I don't see any appeal in a hunt like that. Has anyone seen the story about the t.v. show there trying to make, ware "profeshinal" hunters traculise fenced in bucks in a compation. I can't even start to tell you all the things I think are wrong with that.

SCI is very much a big part of the problem. These mental midgets would not shell out tons of cash if they couldn't get their name in a book somewhere. SCI uses this as a cash cow, more listings, more entry fees.
Anyone belonging to SCI should question their managers on how they justify this garbage.
They do a dissservice to the grand hunting tradition and to all hunters.
