i am a newbie do i have to wait till the 31st to buy a new licence for 2012 ?

Actually you have to wait until April 1st to buy your license and it will be good until March 21. 2013.

I got my licence today at crappy tire but could not get a bear tag there, when i went to a different store to get the tag, they said that the licence wasn't filled out correctly. Where the issue date was they put todays date as opposed to April 1st, the licence says it is valid from the date of issue to march 31st 2013, I took it back and got a new one made out for April 1st but for the issue time they they put the current time that i got it...Oh well better luck next year, LOL

After reading all these post I checked out my renewal that I got on the 16th of march and found that Canadian Tire in Abbotsford scewed mine up. They put down an expiry of 2012 instead of 2013, so I bought a licence good for 15 days, yeeha. Just got back from the store and they said that I should have come in on April 1st to renew, "I DON'T THINK SO" get me a Manager. There was no one that could help me, no one there knows what to do, I have to wait till tomorrow when there "Hunting Licence Expert Manager" get in. So if you got your Licence at Abbotsford Crappy Tire double check it, I thought I checked mine before I left but must have missed this, dammit.

If you got a new one made out, then you now have TWO licence's in your name, which is illegal. Might want to look into that.....
