I'm looking at buying one of these for small lake fishing. It will replace a 14ft canoe. I want something that I can put on my canopy roof racks easily enough. Anyone have any experience with these boats?

there great little boats !
dont worry to much about it having to be a lund as all the 1232 are close to identical lowe, lund, tracker all made the same from the same material.
I powered mine with a mercury 3.5 hp and it handled great in lakes and on pitt river

I'm a big guy and when I stepped into one of them I felt like the hull was just a little thin for my liking. In that size though it seems that all of the brands pretty much use .050" aluminum.

I had a Lowe 1232 with a Tohatsu 3.5hp and loved the setup. Lightweight boat, fairly stable, good enough for two people, wouldn't want to be in it on a choppy lake, even got it on plane sometimes with the 3.5hp. Unfortunately, when the family got bigger, so did the boat.
