View Full Version : Wishing my kids (10 and 12) luck in their CORE test tonight.

So they have spent the last 4 days studying their little hearts out. Test is tonight.

It is pretty neat to see just how much they can soak up in such a short time.

Good luck you two, but given how hard you both have studied, I suspect "luck" is not necessary in this equation.

Life lesson here, harder you work (or hunt), the less "luck" you need.

I am very proud of you both.

Dad.

My 10 year old and my wife just passed theirs too. They will do fine. My wife was more nervous than he was about the test.

Good luck to them and all members or family members that are about to try, all the best. It is always nice to have a Ace in the hole, just saying.

Good luck JAFA and sons (or daughters), it can be done - my 10 year old and his 13 year old cousin just passed it on Tuesday night! Maybe we'll run into you during the youth hunt for mulies somewhere...

Good luck to them. I have a couple of young kids on my next course starting April 7. I've found that the only ones that seem to have any problems, like adults, with the written, are the ones who don't crack open the book. I've had straight "a" school students flunk the first time while I've also had borderline learning disabled pass with flying colours. The only difference was they did the reading assigned to them.

Well gents, Please allow me to be the first to congratulate these two newest members of our hunting fraternity.

My 10 year old did very well 94%, but he was bested by his older sister (12) at 96%, this will be a point of contention for many years to come :).

I am very proud of them both as they really took this seriously, studied hard and got the results they deserved.

Well done you two!

Love Dad.

That is great to hear. My daughter just got her core course a few weeks ago. She is 15 years old and can't wait to go out hunting as well. My son wants to wait for a year or so to do his as he is only 11 right now.

It is great that all of our kids are getting involved. Teach them young for a long life of fun and adventure.
