I was out steelhead fishing on the coast the other weekend and got a special visit from some blacktails! Just released a fish and seen these deer coming straight at me! Mom came first to check us out, then came the fawns. They came so close to me I could touch them. We were standing in the middle of the river. Check it out....

Very cool, Scottwh! I had a similar experience on the Fraser one night, near Aggasiz. I was hooking springs left and right when a 3 point buck and 2 does wandered out of the bush and within a few feet of my daughter and I.

Are you fishing a center pin there? Rod looks like a Sage? 3113?

You are 100% correct about the center pin! LOL! The other is just a fennwick with a level wind. Good eye!! The week prior, a 3 and 4 point came out in the same kinda area, but not as close, and no camera :(

I use to have the same rod - 3113LB with an Islander center pin. I sold it to a guy in Coquitlam prior to moving to the Okanagan. I've got a 10 1/2 foot Fenwick with a few levelwinds too. Ha ha. Anyway - pretty cool fishing with the deer.
